Vioxx Class Action

Geoffrey Aylward and Bruce Chislett have practiced law together since 1986. They both began their careers with the firm of Aylward, Morris & Pittman, established in 1982 by Fintan Aylward Q.C., who was later appointed to the Newfoundland Supreme Court. In April 1990, they established the firm now known as Aylward, Chislett and Whitten. Marina Whitten joined the firm as an articled clerk in 1991 and became a partner in 1995.

Most of the firm's clients reside in St. John's, Mount Pearl, Conception Bay South and surrounding areas. We also maintain clientele and strong ties with communities in other parts of the province including Conception Bay North, Trinity Bay, the Burin Peninsula and Bay St. George.

Aylward, Chislett and Whitten has always maintained a general practice and provided a full range of services to clients. We primarily work on behalf of individuals although we have represented national and local business corporations, insurance companies, federal and provincial Justice Departments and non profit organizations. We concentrate on, and have gained extensive experience in, the areas of:

  • Personal Injury Litigation, including Motor Vehicle Accidents, and Medical Malpractice;
  • Disability and Life Insurance litigation including Canada Pension Plan Disability claims;
